Jim, Megan and Jeff and all your families, I am flooded with memories of the four of us high school girls...all the awkwardness of figuring out where our lives would go and who would be in our lives. And then the memories of our magical weekend in New York..just us girls..in January 2008. Look what became of "Hodder"! What a family she and Jim created, so much love, what an impact she had on others, how her legacy lives on and even though it was "too short", I can't help but think that if, back in 1969, we could have forseen the fullness of her life, it would have seemed good to all us young girls. I remember when we were in Chincoteague the summer after our senior year. Six girls plus Mama Marian in a minivan. All us girls ran out of money by the end of the trip and as we were getting ready to leave she sat us down and gave each of us a Chincoteague lighthouse Christmas ornament to remember the trip by. I think of Mama Marian and her thoughtfulness every year as we decorate our tree. It was an honor to know Mama Marian. She was a mother to so many. Prayers and all my love to the family.
