Drop Mama Marian a Line...

I am going to try to use this post as a sort of guest book for people to comment and say "hello" to Mama Marian if they would like. There will be a link to this in the side bar to make it easier to access.

  1. I want to be the first!! Hey Hodder!! The cherry blossoms are out. We may brave the crowds this evening to see them. I'll send pix if we do. Hope you are getting some spring in Conn. Talk to you soon. Love you--Ellen

  2. Because I'm one of the blogged-out people, this is great for me. Hey, Mare, Leetle Seester, you didn't miss a thing here in NM this weekend. Talk about wind!! Hope you're getting sunshine. And to my niecie, Megan, you're an inspiration. Keep doing what you're doing. It's incredibly wonderful for me, being across the country, to keep in such good touch. Love, Beth

  3. OK. This is my third try to post a comment! Yeah Megan for making this work. I check this site often for updates Hodder. Hoping for more of the good days that Megan writes about for you. Thought you would want to know that I just got the invite to our 40th High School reunion. Mika and I briefly went to the 35th, where we hardly knew a soul. We are way too young for a 40th!! Love you. Kathy

I am also SOOO glad for this GREAT NEWS and I also love your new hat, Pink is such a happy color! Many prayers have been said for you and I am glad that God has equipped medical science to decrease this ugly enemy! I hope it continues to shrink and that it gets easier for you to endure. Take good care and keep up the humor "A merry heart is like a medicine" the bible says and there is certainly something to that! Anyway as always I will continue to pray, my church is also praying for you and I do miss seeing you across the aisle in work!

Take Good Care of yourself - and yes the prayers go on and not only for you but for your family's strength and endurance. L

  10. Hodder--so glad you are feeling better. And no more nurses--and most especially no more Decadron! Yahoo. I'll call soon. I want to hear about Lorien! Love you--

  11. I miss you. It's only been three weeks since I saw you last, but it seems much longer. I'm thrilled to hear that everything is going so well. And I'm especially happy that you had both your children spend time with you. I know that Lorien has been a huge part of your healing. I'm working at HH this weekend. But I'll call you.
    love,
    Mary

  14. PROVERBS 3:5 Says: Trust in the LORD with all your heart; and lean not to your own understanding.

Our human minds cannot fathom the bad and evil of this world. We cannot understand why God brings us to things, but we can be sure that He will never leave us to walk the path alone. I know because He walked every step of a 2 year journey with my brother when he had lung cancer and when it was time, He called to my brother and my brother went with Him without hesitation. So, it's a hard path God has given you, but he will not leave you nor forsake you. Put your faith and trust in Him and He will strengthen you. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. Liz

  15. Marian,
I wanted you to know that I constantly think of you. I've wanted to see you and talk to you but I know it has been extremely difficult for you and your family. Please know that you are always on my mind and in my heart.. If you and your family are feeling up to it I would really like to come by and see you and maybe chat for a little while. I miss our chats! We used to have some great conversations at work and I miss that, at times you were my rock! You were there with me since day one when I began working at The Hartford and I will never forget your kindness towards me. I wish you much peace...
    Love Always,
    Jodi McKay

  16. Jodi, I am reading this to Mama Marian at the hospital this morning and she is very touched by your message. She said that you probably think that she hasn't been at work because she "did something". We got a good laugh and I reminded her that she does not have to go back to The Hartford anytime soon! You are more than welcome to come see her. She is in Room 4036 at UCONN.
